Investing in broker training pays off by offering clients personalised solutions.

CLIENT
Old Mutual offers investment products, life and disability cover, funeral plans, short-term insurance, financial advice and loans. They also provide business-to-business solutions, such as asset management and employee benefits.

CHALLENGE
Old Mutual upgraded their Protect suite of insurance products and needed to upskill 34 000 brokers on the revised products as well as how to offer a more personalised and tailored solution to each client.

SOLUTION
We created 19 interactive e-Learning modules which included animated videos, assessments and on-the-job performance support tools. This rapidly upskilled the brokers on the new products and sales landscape enabling them to build tailor-made products for their clients.

We introduced Old Mutual’s learning and development team to a game-based approach to developing blended learning solutions, provided ongoing training to all employees to ensure that they understand their obligations in terms of FICA and upskilled brokers on new insurance products and how to personalize them for clients.
